At yesterday’sWWDCconference , Apple stationed a fiddling bit of eye confect in the Moscone Center lobby : a 5×4 matrix of Cinema Display monitor , adorned with thousands of iPhone app icons . The twist ? Whenever someone purchases an app , it pulsates .
ostensibly it ’s not quite material - clip , but the issue is passing guileful . The icons are grouped by their approximate color , make a subtle rainbow gradient , which is a gracious touch modality , and only evident from comparatively far away .
That said , Apple should likely cool down a little bit with the WE HAVE SO MANY APPS marketing scheme , as this bulwark inadvertently demo : in a random crophere , which has about a hundred apps , I see maybe two that I ’d even consider downloading . [ Techcrunch ]
