Multiple vaping companies were sent missive by federal regulators this calendar week over posts by societal medium influencers that did not let in necessary warning about the vape production .
The warning letter — which were sent to Artist Liquids Laboratories , Humble Juice Co. , Hype City Vapors , and Solace Technologies — stated that the post in question were review by the Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ) and the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ) and receive to lack the want warning financial statement that the product both contains nicotine and that nicotine is an habit-forming chemical .
According to the letters , the post by influencers in partnership with the respective companies were share to Facebook , Instagram , and Twitter , platforms on which some of the influencers had tens of thousands or more followers . In some cases , the letters say , posts by the company themselves on societal medium or their websites go bad to communicate the take word of advice language .

Lorenzo De Plano , a co - founder of Solace , told Gizmodo in a statement by electronic mail that the letter his society was send was related to a post by a unmarried influencer who did not admit necessary warnings in their post , adding that the company is no longer work with that individual .

“ All of Solace Vapor ’s internal promotion , merchandising and nicotine warnings are compliant with FDA standards , ” Plano said . “ Solace Vapor does not excuse the economic consumption of our merchandise by anyone who previously was not a tobacco and or cigarette substance abuser . We will be reviewing and terminate any and all tertiary party influencers who may not be compliant with our marketing policies . We hope that all other company in our industry do the same . ”
The varsity letter stated that the companies would be required to submit a written reaction within 15 play Clarence Shepard Day Jr. of receipt that outlined their timeline for corrective actions . Spokespeople for Artist Liquids , Humble Juice , and Hype City Vapors did not right away return requests for input .
