The years have n’t been genial to the Terminator franchise , after that whole Terminator Salvation drubbing . Fortunately for Skynet fan , Gale Anne Hurd , the executive manufacturer and a cowriter of The Terminator , latterly expressed interest in revive the franchise .
In an interview withEntertainment Weekly , Hurd , who ’s soon an executive manufacturer on The Walking Dead , gave this loaded statement in reception to the dying of the Terminator dealership :
“ It ’s very sad , ” says Hurd of the franchise ’s recent history . “ You feel like you gave parentage to something and it ’s been adopted and those adoptions have n’t worked out . Of course I ’d be concerned in doing another one . I ’d love it . ”

Of course , she ’s talking about Terminator Salvation and its financial problem , which crushed the yield ship’s company Halcyon ( thus require them to cede the Terminator rights to Pacificor ) . But perhaps Hurd too is frustrated with the turd storylines Hollywood has foist upon our beloved Terminators . It ’s time to give this movie back to the ones that helped make it great . Sure , the Terminator dealership might still need a small breathing elbow room , but we ’d be overjoyed to have someone who was there from the beginning ( and clearly understands good amusement ) working to impart Skynet back online .
