Hello college students . It ’s summertime , that most wizardly of seasons . You want an awesome internship . We have one . A match actually , in New York and San Francisco .
We ’re pretty demanding of our interns , but in turn , you will take a tidy sum about this whole professional blogging go-ahead . So , the ideal candidate is a college pupil or recent alumnus who ’s look at a life history in media , but is pretty geeky too . Oh , and you must be within everyday commuting distance of Manhattan or San Francisco .
The basic essentials :
• Writing experience is a huge , vast addition , but not 100 percent mandatory — but you should be ready to march your ability with some sample
• A comely laptop ( basically , one that ’s estimable enough to cover light video editing )
• Basic experience with HTML , Flickr , FTP , Facebook , Twitter — the internet , fundamentally
• The ability to listen and keep an eye on instruction and be fast - essentially , you ’re here to learn and ramp up up your knowledge - base
• Dedication - the job ’s merriment , and surprisingly educational , but it ’s definitely not easy
• To be over 18
The stuff you ’ll be learning :
• Research : Learning how to pull together multiple form of information from multiple sources for editors
• Spotting news report : Learning how to find and pitch story from multiple sources and pass
• Promotion : Learning how to promote narrative out there on the internets
• Other thing
Essentially , you ’ll be learning the basics of gadget blogging , which , as it turns out , is passably valuable knowledge in this softheaded medium surround . And very probably , have some fun represent with gadgets amidst learning new euphemisms for genitalia and all of the “ go go go faster faster fast ” yard of blogging . Oh , there is a ( very ) small stipend , too .
