Now we ’ve got our first tone at him in action , and for Gotham , it ’s surprisingly an on - point comic Word look for Ra ’s al Ghul .

Released today , this new behind - the - scene video recording sees Siddig ( on the face of it half still - in - costume , judge by the two - tone haircloth ) and other members of the cast hash out Ra ’s arrival on the show , as well as our first glimpse at him encounter Bruce .

We ’ve been excite for Siddig ’s casting pretty much since the moment it was announced , but seeing him in natural process — and in a pretty close get - up to his classic appearance in the comics — is damn cool . Ra ’s al Ghul makes his full debut in Gotham ’s season last next Monday , June 5 .
