Like many who entered thenovel coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic engaged,Jennifer Lopezhas been forced to postpone her wedding to fiancéAlex Rodriguez— twice.

The couple, who gotengagedin the spring of 2019, were originally planning on tying the knot in Italy last June. Because of the pandemic, they scrapped that plan, and Lopez recently revealed in an interview withEllemagazinethat she and the former MLB star are unsure when the wedding will happen.

“We postponed the wedding twice. We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I don’t know if we’ll be able to re-create that,” the “In the Morning” singer said. “We canceled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it. There’s no rush. We want to do it right when we can do it.”

“We just have to wait to see where the world lands,” Lopez added toElle.

Lopez, 51, has said before that she and Rodriguez, 45, aren’t in a rush to have their wedding, and revealed last month that she looks atGoldie HawnandKurt Russell’s relationship asinspiration.

“We’ve talked about that for sure,” the singer said onAndy Cohen’s SiriusXM show,Radio Andy, of Hawn and Russell’s approach to marriage.

The two actors have been together for 38 yearswithout feeling the need to wed.

“At our age, we’ve both been married before, it’s like, do we get married? Do we not? What does it mean for us?” Lopez continued. “It comes down to personal, what do you want to do? There’s definitely no rush though.”

“It’ll happen when it happens,” she added later in the discussion, admitting that it was still “a little disappointing” to have to postpone.
