White, 33, isreportedlyin talks to playBruce Springsteenin an upcoming movie titledDeliver Me from Nowhere, which would follow the rock icon during the creation of his 1982 albumNebraska.Varietyreports that A24 is circling the project, which originates from author Warren Zanes' 2023non-fiction book of the same name.
Scott Cooper, a filmmaker whose recent works include 2022’sThe Pale Blue Eyeand 2021’sAntlers, is writing a script and plans to direct the movie, per reports.
Representatives for Allen White did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment Wednesday.

“Nebraskaexpressed a turmoil that was reflective of the mood of the country, but it was also a symptom of trouble in the artist’s life, the beginnings of a mental breakdown that Springsteen would only talk about openly decades after the album’s release,” reads an official description of Zanes' book about the album’s making on Penguin Random House’s website.
