Even if you’ve never watchedGame of Thrones, chances are you’ve heard the famous quote about Jon Snow knowing nothing.
Appearing onThe Tonight Showon Thursday to promoteThrones’eighth and final season, Harington said the quote is the number one thing fans yell at him when they see him on the street.
“And my wife is Rose, so we get doubly yelled at,” he added.
And while he admitted he’s not the biggest fan of it — “I hate it, I hate it when people say it” — there was one instance where he didn’t mind.
“My brother managed to get it into the end of my best man speech. It was quite sweet, actually,” he revealed. “He said, ‘Looking at the woman you’re marrying, it shows you do know something, Jon Snow.’ Which is sweet!”
Harington and Leslie, both 32, first stirred up relationship rumors in 2012. After a brief split, the couple reconciled and continued to fuel romance speculation until they officially confirmed the relationship in 2016.

The former costars wed on June 23, 2018, at the Kirkton of Rayne church. Thestar-studded celebration— which included manyThronesstars as guests — continued with a reception at the bride’s family’s Wardhill Castle.

Harington previously opened up about the early days of their romance, revealing that sparks flew while on set in Iceland shooting season 2 — and admitting that those weeks were his favorite of the series.
“Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love,” he said in a cover story for L’Uomo Vogue. “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”
