Meghan Markleused her Valentine’s Day outfit as a symbol of her affection forPrince Harry, wearing items that might look familiar to those who followed their early courtship.

Meghan, 42, was spotted in the same wool-and-cashmere Burberry beanie she wore while she was dating Prince Harry, 39.

Wednesday’s event also marked the first time the Duchess of Sussex has been seen wearing her engagement ring in public in recent months.

Prince Harry designed the ring with the help ofCleave & Company(the lateQueen Elizabeth’s regular jeweler). The custom piece features a large cushion-cut center diamond sourced from Botswana, where Meghan and Harry spent time together early on in their relationship, as well as two side stones from the jewelry collection of Harry’s late motherPrincess Diana.

“It’s beautiful, and he designed it, it’s incredible,” Meghan said during thecouple’s engagement interviewin November 2017.

Since getting engaged, Meghan has given the ring a few upgrades. In 2019, she replaced the ring’s original gold band with a thin micro-pavé band.

Even before theirromantic Valentine’s Day dinner, Prince Harry and Meghan were clearly feeling the love on the romantic holiday. The pair, who areknown for their public displays of affection, held hands as they stepped out on a snowy mountain to meet ski athletes and their guides, and they put their arms around each other during the outing.
