A pitiable porcupine that swelled up to the size of a balloon has been found . A member of the public spot it in North Lanarkshire , Scotland , on Sunday July 23 , but it ’s now in practiced hands .

The animal , which has been distinguish Zepplin by the Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ( SPCA ) , is think to have been clipped by a railcar . This punctured one of its lungs , trapping aviation under its tegument and stimulate the odd appearance .

The condition only affects hedgehogs that have the power to curl up , which means they have a lot of outer space under their skin . They can swell up to almost twice their normal size , with their skin becoming extremely taut . To remove the strain , they are popped with a acerate leaf .
