Wendy Williamsseems to have a sense of humor about the drama surrounding herrelationship with estranged husband Kevin Hunter.
Earlier this week, PEOPLE obtained a police report that showed authorities conducted a welfare check on Williams on Jan. 18 — months before the talk show host, 54,filed for divorce— at the request of an anonymous caller whoclaimed Hunter was poisoning Williams.
Williams ultimately denied any poisoning had occurred, according to the police report, after which the officers left their New Jersey home.
During her “After Show” YouTube series on Wednesday, the television host shared that a member of the audience had surprised her with a box of baked goods.
“I saw on the box it said cupcakes from The Cupcake Man, or something like that in Jersey, like a legit place so I know they’re not poisonous, so I’m going to share them with the crew,” she said. “After I take mine. Just a few. Just a few.”
Reps for Williams andTheWendy WilliamsShowdid not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.

The welfare check was conducted during Williams’health-related hiatusfrom her show last winter.
When the police arrived, Hunter answered the door and claimed Williams was recovering from a recent illness, according to the police report. Though police say Hunter was “hesitant” to let the police inside the house, he let them in, and they found Williams in her bed “with the blanket covering from neck to toe.”
Williams told the cops she was recovering from a broken shoulder. (On a December episode ofTheWendy WilliamsShow, she had told viewers she’dfractured her right shoulder.)

Williams “became tearful” when asked if there was any truth to the poisoning claim but ultimately denied any poisoning had occurred, according to the police report. Police say Hunter “then responded saying something to the effect of that there had never been any calls to his house regarding domestic violence.”
Williams filed for divorce after Hunter allegedlyfathered a child with his mistress. Hunterbroke his silenceon the split in a statement to PEOPLE last week, addressing the cheating scandal and admitting he was “not proud of my recent actions.”
“I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs,” he said. “No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine.”

A source previously told PEOPLE that Hunter “realizes he really messed up.”
“He’s taken a very somber position and is just trying to focus on what’s next,” the source said. “Initially when he and Wendy decided to split they had agreed that he could stay on as her manager. Then she saw new pictures of him out with the mistress again and she cut him completely off, shut down accounts, everything.”
Williams cut ties with Hunter professionally last week as he wasremoved as executive producerofTheWendy WilliamsShow. A spokesperson for the show told PEOPLE on Tuesday that they are not hiring an EP to replace him: “David Perler, who has served as showrunner for the past nine years, and Wendy will remain as our sole executive producers.”
The split comes at a challenging time for the star. After taking an extended hiatus fromTheWendy WilliamsShowfrom January to March, Williams, who has long been open about a past addiction to cocaine, revealed last month that she has beenliving in a sober house.
Last week, she said she would be “moving out of the sober house in just a few days” andalluded to the divorce, saying she has a “whole new life” planned for her and her son.
“Addressing my sobriety, my addiction, head-on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life,” she said. “I have a commitment to me and my son to come out of here better, stronger and faster than ever.”
