Reggie Bushstarted setting records and making headlines when he stepped onto the football field at the University of Southern California in 2003 and he eventually found a partner in his wife, Lilit Bush.
The professional athlete won a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints in 2010 and later played for a few other teams beforeannouncing his retirementfrom the NFL in 2017. Though Reggie no longer competes on the field, he has continued his passion for the sport as a football analyst.
Fast forward, Reggie and Lilit married in 2014, and a decade later, they are now parents to three children: Briseis, Uriah and Agyeman. Throughout their relationship, the pair have shared glimpses of their connection, which has included joint workouts andtrips.

She is a dancer and choreographer

Reggie is not the only one in the family with trophies. Lilit is a professional ballroom dancer and choreographer who has won several competitions since as early as 2005, per theWorld DanceSport Federation.
In 2008, she and dancer Grigori Sedrakyan won theNational Dance Council’s amateur Latin championship; that year, they also placed second in the Latin World Championship in Melbourne, Australia, perAmerican Dancer.
Lilit even treated her new husband to a special presentation at their wedding.
“Lilit performed a dance for Reggie,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “It was so beautiful! Reggie had a smile on his face I can’t even describe.”
The award-winning dancer occasionally shares videos of her skills in the studio on herInstagram.
She is a fitness enthusiast

According to Lilit, the kids are all following in their parent’s sporty footsteps.
“They’re all athletic, obviously — that’s a mandatory in the house,” she told PEOPLE in 2020. “Everybody’s got to stretch, everybody’s got to exercise. That helps a lot to kill that energy during the day so they’re good to go to sleep.”

In 2020, Lilit joined her husband in aTostitos commercialin which the former pro football player talked candidly about gathering with his family.
“I never got a chance to tailgate because I’m always playing,” Reggie says in the ad. Lilit chimes in, “We did the gating for you.”
In another videofor the chip brand, chefMarcus Samuelssonguided the couple in making elevated tailgate dishes at home. They prepared doro wat, a spicy Ethiopian chicken stew, to pair with their chips.
Lilit closed her eyes while cutting the onions, and Reggie gently dabbed her tears.
“You can’t let the makeup run,” Reggie teased.
She and Reggie adjusted their parenting style during the COVID-19 pandemic

Like many parents, Reggie and Lilit took on the role of home-school tutors during the COVID-19 pandemic. The couple spoke to PEOPLE about navigating this new experience.
“We’ve been really focusing on this time with our family and trying to better ourselves,” Reggie said. “It’s definitely been a challenge for us to homeschool but together we feel like we’ve been learning in this process a lot about ourselves, and we’re making it work.”
Lilit added that they had to adjust their parenting styles to accommodate the extended time spent under the same roof.
“Our patience had to develop a lot more than it was,” she shared. “We have to learn how to be a lot more patient with each other and with the kids, because being with them all day long can push you to another level, stress wise. We just simply cannot allow that to translate to the kids.”
